Question 1

How does laser hair removal work?

Accepted Answer

Laser hair removal directs light energy at the hair follicle, targeting pigment to reduce further growth. The GentleLase Pro Candela Alexandrite system is used at ProLaserSpa.

Question 2

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Accepted Answer

We do not describe results as permanent. Treatment typically reduces hair growth, and maintenance sessions may be recommended. Results vary between individuals.

Question 3

How many sessions may be needed?

Accepted Answer

Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions are usually recommended. We do not promise a fixed number; your plan is discussed after consultation.

Question 4

Is a consultation required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A consultation assesses your skin and hair type and confirms suitability before treatment.

Question 5

Is a patch test required?

Accepted Answer

A patch test may be recommended, especially for a first session or a new area, to check your skin's response.

Question 6

How should I prepare?

Accepted Answer

Avoid sun exposure, tanning, waxing and plucking for around four weeks. Shave the area the day before. Full instructions are provided at consultation.

Question 7

What areas can be treated?
