What to expect
After your consultation, the treatment area is prepared and the handpiece is moved across the skin delivering targeted light energy to the hair. Sensation varies; the Alexandrite system includes a cooling mechanism to help keep you comfortable. Sessions are timed to the area being treated.
Preparation
Avoid sun exposure, tanning, waxing, plucking and bleaching for around four weeks before treatment. Shave the area the day before. Full pre-treatment instructions are provided at your consultation.
Aftercare
Keep the area protected from the sun and avoid heat treatments, saunas and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours. Use a soothing moisturiser and SPF as advised.
